All of us, irrespective of the age, like to believe the fact that life on earth originated from another life form that exist thousands of light years away from us. Cashing in on this imagination was the TV series Battlestar Galactica that started airing in the year 1978 as a military science fiction series. This series gained immense popularity because people could relate to it with their imagination.
Battlestar Galactica has a captivating storyline that garners the attention of its viewers. Twelve Colonies is a series of planets that exist is a place far away from earth. These colonies are inhabited by humans. A cyber race called the Cyclons is at war with these colonies. Finally with the help of Baltar, a human, the Cyclons attack the colony and ambush them. Battlestar Galactica is the only military capital ship to withstand that attack and all surviving humans take shelter in it. Led by an able military leader, Commander Adama, these humans from the outer world move out in search of earth which they think is an abode of peace.
